Digital Detox - A necessity now !!

#Switch it Off, to reconnect

Do you realize that you are browsing through your mobile phone even when people like your family or friends are around you ? Do anyone snatches your phone just to grab your attention towards them ? If yes, then you are addicted to your smartphone but You are not alone !

As per the recently launched vivo-CMR “Smartphone and their impact on human relationship” study: an average mobile user in India spends 1/3rd of their working hour on their phone which contributes to 1800 hours a year.

‘Smart’ ah… these mobile phones are smart enough to provide us all basic things just with a click as instant messaging, internet access, social media and apps. And no doubt we all are addicted to it.

Addiction

We know have to understand that using the smart phone smartly is a necessity now. We don’t have to be addicted to it. This is a real concern today as all of us now are using mobiles as the last thing before bed and first thing when we wake up. Studies show that 56% of Indians are so dependent on mobile phones that they consider it as their one of the most Importatnt part of their life. 75% of Indians get access to their first smartphone by less than 18 years. As infants born knows how to hold phone with in 6 months of thei birth. Oh.. that really add to the concern.

Excess of everything is bad

The potential impact of the kind of electromagnetic fields generated by cellular phones on the human brain has received little attention until relatively recently, and it’s probably still much too soon to pronounce on the possible adverse effects of long-term exposure. Accumulating evidence indicate that microwave radiation from mobile phones may cause serious diseases and disturbances in the physiology. This includes an increased cancer risk and genetic damage, disturbed brain function and other effects. Mobile phone radiation and health concerns have been raised, especially following the enormous increase in the use of wireless mobile telephony throughout the world. So prolonged use of mobile phone should be avoided. The head set should be kept at reasonable distance from our head.
It’s a time for digital Detox !
